Rhinoplasty<\/strong> is used to modify the morphology of the nasal pyramid (either partially or completely). This aesthetic operation is sometimes performed to correct nasal breathing problems. Rhinoplasty <\/strong>allows us to reshape the nose to make it more attractive, specifically correcting present defects, whether congenital, the result of trauma or due to the aging process. The aim of rhinoplasty<\/strong> is to obtain a natural-looking nose, in harmony with the other features of the face.<\/p>

Rhinoplasty<\/strong> is performed in Geneva<\/strong> or Genolier<\/strong>, usually under general anesthesia. Rhinoplasty can be performed as an \"outpatient\" procedure, i.e. as an inpatient procedure with same-day discharge after a few hours of monitoring. Depending on the case, a short hospital stay may be preferable. The nasal cavities can be cleaned with a variety of absorbent materials. A shaping bandage is often applied to the surface of the nose, and a protective plaster splint is molded and attached to the nose. Post-operative rhinoplasty<\/strong> is rarely painful. The main inconvenience in the early days is the inability to breathe through the nose. The appearance of edema (swelling) and sometimes ecchymosis (bruising), especially around the eyelids, varies greatly in severity and duration from one individual to another. It is recommended that you rest and do nothing strenuous in the days following the operation. After rhinoplasty<\/strong>, you can return to a normal social and professional life after a few days (10 to 20 days depending on the extent of the after-effects). After rhinoplasty, a period of two to three months is needed to get a good idea of the result, bearing in mind that the final appearance will only be obtained after six months to a year of slow, subtle evolution.<\/p>
