Scars revised by a plastic surgeon can be significantly improved especially at a distance of trauma (accident or surgery).
Scars may sometimes evolve to become thick and painful (keloid scars). A simple excision under local anesthesia might prevent a recurrence. Some recurrent keloids can be treated with surgery and radiotherapy. Combining the two treatments can get up to 90% of satisfactory results.
In order to achieve these results, we work closely with the radiotherapy department of Prof. Miralbell at University Hospitals of Geneva.
